The role:

Global Talent 2020 are proudly working with our nationwide restaurant client for their new, well positioned venue in the heart of Glasgow, city of culture. Our client is recruiting for a Head Chef to lead and join their exciting, established kitchen operations at site.

This modern and progressive Asian street food brand have 45+ sites across the UK already. 95% of the food is freshly made on site and the excellent menu is prepped daily, with a variety of techniques used to bring the wonderful flavours of Vietnam to your guests. Experience in Asian food is not required but would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate needs to be a hands-on leader who is extremely passionate about fresh produce along with the willingness to train and develop your team around you.

The person:

Our passionate client at Global Talent 2020 is looking for a real leader in the kitchen, someone who will harness the talent of the small team, utilise the fantastic kitchen facilities to their advantage, provide memorable popular food experiences for its customers, and put the location back on the map in Glasgow as a noted place to dine all day.

The ideal Head Chef candidate must have had prior experience of producing fresh quality food, to a minimum 1 rosette culinary level standard, and had experience of a volume high street restaurant or boutique hotel on their CV. You will need to be highly approachable with your personality, as you will be interacting with other senior company heads, the customers, and with all levels of the site diverse teams.

Our client requires an ideal Head Chef that is keen to train, coach and mentor their team, evolve the fresh food services, deliver consistent quality menus, daily seasonal specials, innovative food concepts, and further the reputation of the business in the Glasgow marketplace.

Our client at Global Talent 2020 needs the right candidate to be proven to be flexible, highly adaptive in all your approaches with your team, your food ethos, and also with delivery of fresh concepts developed with the company Head Chef.

As Head Chef, you must also be someone that not only has strong all-round culinary abilities, great presentation skills, but also is an effective manager of the kitchen environment, health, and safety, COSHH, RIDDOR, recruitment, and possess strong cost and budgetary control skill sets of their area.
