The opportunity: Global Talent 2020's award-winning boutique Hotelier client, in central Edinburgh, is looking for a full-time, on-property Area Sales Manager professional to join their growing established group as their in-house dedicated sales business developer for Edinburgh and the Scottish region.
Our client is well-renowned in the marketplace, an ethical, fresh, lifestyle brand, quality-focused company that specialises in high-end guest experiences. Championing the brand and venue, the role will require the person to hit the ground running from the outset, with creative business sales development to drive footfall to the venue and beyond to new venues. The goal is to balance Corporate and Leisure clients while preserving existing account relationships. This role will need someone with sales experience across both corporate and leisure sector clienteles.
The role: Global Talent 2020's luxury client is looking for a creative, self-sufficient individual, a proven Sales Manager possessing a minimum of 4 years in similar Sales Manager Hotel roles, with their finger on the pulse within the local and wider UK markets. Ideally, you will possess a track record of sales achievements with growing customer bookings, whilst also developing both larger corporate and leisure events sales bookings.
The Area Sales Manager will work primarily on their own with Sales BDM but will report directly to the Sales Director for the UK. The role will also encompass liaison between other HODs of the business, working with the GMs of the venues in the business, and be integral in providing targeted engagement through social channels, media, and PR management duties with the Marketing team for the business.
Experience essential in:
- Managing and negotiating client relationships, both with corporates and leisure sectors.
- Developing new business sales opportunities and retaining existing clientele relationships.
- Growth track record of like-for-like sales success in a hotel-focused business.
- Creating weekly/monthly MI reports, which analyse insights and analytics to help evolve the business.
- Operational management understanding of the delivery of services with other HODs.
- Being IT literate and a clear communicator.
- Some Marketing, PR, social media and press experience.
