About the Role
This is a broad and high-impact role within Global Switch’s legal team, providing customer, commercial and strategic legal support across the business. Working closely with Commercial, Real Estate Investment and Executive stakeholders, you will be a trusted advisor on customer contracts, strategic transactions and day-to-day legal matters. You will play a key role in supporting revenue-generating activity while also contributing to investment-related work across a fast-moving, international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer and commercial contracting
- Lead negotiation of customer contracts, including colocation and service agreements
- Advise on commercial terms, risk positions and deal structures to support revenue growth
- Partner with the Commercial team to deliver efficient and commercially viable outcomes
- Corporate and transactional support
- Support corporate transactions, including investments, joint ventures and restructuring activity
- Advise on corporate governance and legal structuring across the business
- Provide legal support on strategic initiatives and business change projects
- Business advisory
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Provide clear, pragmatic advice across a broad range of legal queries
- Support decision-making at Executive level with commercially focused guidance
- Risk, governance and compliance
- Ensure consistent application of legal standards and governance frameworks
- Support contract management, compliance and audit readiness
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across commercial and operational activity
About You
You are a strong corporate or commercial lawyer with a track record of advising on complex transactions and contracts within a dynamic business environment. You combine technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and are comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders. You are confident leading negotiations and navigating ambiguity, providing clear, practical advice that enables the business to move forward at pace. Experience or exposure to real estate, infrastructure or asset-heavy environments is advantageous, allowing you to operate effectively within a data centre business.
Key Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with strong experience in corporate and/or commercial law
- Proven experience negotiating complex commercial/customer contracts
- Experience supporting corporate transactions (M&A, JVs, restructuring)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including exposure to senior or executive teams
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk and opportunity
- Experience in real estate, infrastructure or capital-intensive sectors is desirable
- Confident communicator with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
