As Contract Renewal Manager, you will lead a customer-facing role responsible for managing a portfolio of customer contracts approaching expiry and driving the end-to-end renewal process.
The focus is on securing timely renewals, protecting revenue, mitigating commercial risk, and sustaining strong customer relationships, all while staying aligned to the organisation's commercial strategy.
You will work closely with customers and the wider Commercial, Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations and senior stakeholder teams to negotiate mutually beneficial renewal outcomes that maximise commercial terms and customer retention.
The role calls for strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse, interpret and negotiate contracts while building lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute renewal strategies to secure long-term customer retention and revenue maximisation.
- Lead customer negotiations for an assigned portfolio of renewal opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date contract renewal pipeline and forecasting process.
- Review existing contractual arrangements and identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
- Assess pricing, profitability and risk associated with renewal opportunities.
- Support the negotiation of commercial terms and conditions in collaboration with Legal and senior stakeholders.
- Develop strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision makers to understand future requirements and business objectives.
- Track and report on renewal performance, retention rates, revenue at risk and key commercial metrics.
- Work closely with the wider Commercial team, Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations and Customer Service teams to support renewal activity.
