About The Role

As Construction Manager, you will take ownership of delivering complex capital projects at site level, ensuring full alignment with group standards and strategic objectives.

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of new builds, expansions, and upgrades, coordinating closely with engineering, connectivity, and operations teams to guarantee integrated execution.

This includes managing contractors and site teams, maintaining strict compliance with budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements, and driving governance through accurate reporting and active participation in sign-off forums.

You will support customer engagement and operational handovers, embed group-wide best practices, and champion continuous improvement across all phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all site-based construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered to scope, budget, and schedule while maintaining quality standards.
  • Oversee contractor mobilisation and procurement processes, driving efficiency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement and continuously review robust safety management procedures, ensuring full compliance with statutory and industry standards across construction, design, and operational handover phases.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of construction with M&E systems and connectivity requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely site reporting, including daily logs, progress dashboards, and risk registers, providing senior leadership with clear visibility of KPIs, budget adherence, and emerging issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local regulatory requirements, building codes, and internal governance frameworks throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed standards, issuing corrective notices and enforcing contractual obligations where necessary.
  • Act as a key liaison with Group Directors, Sales, and Operations teams to support customer discussions, RFP responses, and infrastructure transitions.
  • Manage smooth project close-out and operational handover, ensuring comprehensive documentation and technical data transfer.

  • Extensive experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects with significant Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) dependencies, ensuring seamless integration of systems and infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead end-to-end procurement strategies, including market analysis, tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier onboarding, driving cost optimisation and compliance with corporate standards.
  • Expert in contractor performance management, implementing structured KPIs, quality benchmarks, and escalation protocols to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Advanced capability in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies using industry-standard tools.
  • Expertise in producing accurate, timely reports for senior leadership, including financial forecasts, KPI dashboards, and compliance documentation.
  • Deep understanding of building systems, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installations, and construction methodologies, enabling proactive problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process optimisation, standardisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple projects.
