We are looking for an organised and proactive Operations Assistant – Recruitment to join our head office operations team. This role plays a key part in supporting the recruitment, onboarding and compliance processes that underpin our operational delivery across the business.
You will help ensure we attract, onboard and maintain a compliant workforce capable of supporting operational requirements across multiple contracts and client environments.
About The Role
You will work closely with operational teams, management and external partners to coordinate recruitment activity, manage employee onboarding and maintain compliance with industry standards and company procedures. This role sits at the centre of our workforce administration and operational support function and requires someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. The role also offers an excellent opportunity to develop experience across recruitment, operational HR administration, compliance coordination and workforce planning within a growing security services organisation.
Role
- Full Time Hybrid: – Office: Monday, Tuesday & Friday; Home: Wednesday and Thursday – Fully office-based is also possible.
- Hours: Weekly rotating shifts: Early shift: 07:00-16:00 Late shift: 10:30-19:30
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle processes across operational teams
- Coordinating candidate screening, vetting and compliance requirements in line with BS:7858 standards
- Arranging interviews, recruitment administration and onboarding documentation for new starters
- Maintaining accurate employee records, compliance data and personnel files in line with GDPR requirements
- Monitoring training, licence renewals, absence management and ongoing compliance obligations
- Supporting operational administration activities including inbox monitoring, reporting and resourcing meetings
- Assisting with operational compliance, incident escalation, KPI reporting and documentation management
What We’re Looking For
- Previous recruitment, onboarding, HR administration or operational support experience within the security, facilities management, logistics, events or operational environments would be strongly preferred
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with staff, managers and external partners
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar systems
- Experience of using CRMs/applicant tracking systems is essential
- Understanding of compliance, screening or vetting processes would be advantageous
- A professional, resilient and adaptable approach to operational demands
