About the Role
This role supports the hospitality team at Birchwood at The Conduit, delivering friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to members and guests. The role involves working across different areas of the restaurant, supporting service, hosting, drinks, and guest interaction to ensure every experience is smooth, welcoming, and memorable. Birchwood at The Conduit is a brand-new cafe and wine bar led by chef Will Devlin, with a fresh, ingredient-led approach rooted in seasonality and sustainable sourcing in Covent Garden.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to guests and deliver attentive, efficient service.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, including allergen awareness.
- Recommend menu items confidently using strong product knowledge.
- Monitor and enhance the guest experience, responding proactively to needs.
- Handle billing and payments accurately.
- Work flexibly across roles, including service, hosting, drinks, and coffee.
- Support daily operations, including setup, closing, and maintaining clean, organised spaces.
- Collaborate with team members and assist during busy periods.
- Maintain high standards while following hygiene, licensing, and company procedures.
- Uphold company values and contribute to a positive, professional environment.
