About the Role

This role plays a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for members, ensuring the highest standards of poolside safety, cleanliness and member experience. Working within the Operations Team, the role acts as a trusted ambassador for the club, responding confidently to situations and maintaining operational excellence. The position is part time, 20 hours per week, and requires delivering exceptional service every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for members, ensuring high standards of poolside safety, cleanliness and member experience.
• Act as a trusted ambassador for the club, responding confidently to situations, maintaining operational excellence and delivering exceptional service every day.
• Ensure the utmost safety of members in the pool and spa areas, taking responsibility for personal safety and that of others.
• Act consistently in a safe manner, completing safety checks and recording them accurately.
• Monitor water chemical levels and clean the water when appropriate.
• Maintain the cleanliness of all areas and adhere to high standards.
• Comply with all mandatory training and health and safety requirements.
• Fulfil Duty Shifts when required, taking responsibility and accountability during the shift, controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Current Lifeguard qualification and full registration, with either an IQL National Pool Qualification (RLSS), HABC Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding (RQF) or STA Professional Award for Pool Lifeguard (RQF).
• A friendly, calm and approachable nature, with the ability to act quickly and effectively at all times.

Salary

• £12.71—£12.71 GBP
