About the Role
The Activities Manager leads and manages the efficient operation of all activities across the Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families departments within the DL Club. The role regularly acts as Duty Manager, taking responsibility for the efficient operation of the entire club. The postholder leads the recruitment, training and empowerment of the team to ensure they deliver an exceptional experience to members. The role sits within a premium health and wellness group that values team members as ambassadors of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the efficient operation of all activities across the Fitness, Group Exercise, Racquets, Swim and Families departments.
- Act as Duty Manager regularly, taking responsibility for the efficient operation of the entire club.
- Lead the recruitment of team members to ensure the right team is selected.
- Train and empower the team to bring their best to work each day.
- Ensure the team delivers an exceptional experience to members.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
- Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across variable departments.
- Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience of financial planning and management.
- A passion for customer service.
