About the Role
The role supports the effective operation and preventative maintenance of the whole site, including the building shell and surrounding grounds, under the supervision of the line manager. It sits within the Maintenance Team and works as part of the wider club team to maintain a safe, compliant and well-ordered environment. The position helps uphold engineering compliance and Health & Safety standards while supporting members and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a viable and effective preventative maintenance programme for the whole site, including the building shell and surrounding grounds.
- Ensure the facility adheres to all engineering compliance standards without putting members or employees at risk.
- Monitor the basic fixtures and fittings of the building to maintain the highest standards of order and tidiness at all times.
- Complete daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of the site, keeping up-to-date and accurate records.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies and report any issues or concerns immediately.
- Maintain the basement, plant rooms, roof and fire exits to company standards, ensuring all plant and equipment is maintained.
- Be proactive, use initiative and take ownership of situations such as member complaints.
- Work as part of the wider club team, demonstrating a professional and courteous manner to members and assisting with queries they may have.
- Fulfil Duty Shifts when required, taking responsibility and accountability during the shift and controlling staffing and facility issues throughout the club.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Hold a technical Level 2 qualification of City & Guilds equivalent or higher.
