Lead Product Manager (Finance Technologies)

About the Role

This role sits within the company's technology organisation, which powers business growth and operations and is enhancing its technology landscape to accelerate growth. The role holder joins a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers and functional consultants who implement features from design to deployment and are responsible for the full process and delivery. The position is pivotal in defining and executing initiatives that empower Finance teams, supporting system upgrades and release cycles and contributing to their seamless integration within the technology landscape. Working closely with stakeholders and functional leads, the role holder develops a deep understanding of business processes and strategic and tactical goals and communicates product progress and deliverables. Decisions are influenced through data and risk analysis, and the team lives agile values while drawing on diversity of thought from a global community.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic direction and product roadmap for the Finance cluster in collaboration with Finance functional leads and technology teams.
• Bring an AI-forward mindset to shape and own the Finance technology product roadmap, coordinating and communicating timelines, activities and deliverables.
• Manage prioritisation and trade-offs between customer experience, business impact and performance, and track product adoption post-launch support.
• Deliver business outcomes through the delivery of impactful initiatives and features.
• Create and manage initiatives, features, epics and user stories for development initiatives.
• Maintain an effective and groomed product backlog, preparing and driving refinement and discovery sessions with the function, development and functional consultant teams.
• Liaise with multiple business areas across the global organisation, gathering and analysing requirements for ERP, non-ERP and custom-built solutions within the Finance cluster.
• Serve as an ambassador for the product area internally and externally, and act as the primary contact for related queries.
• Support system upgrades and release cycles and contribute to their seamless integration within the technology landscape.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on product management experience in a relevant field of IT, business system support or consultancy.
• Extensive experience with Finance systems and ERP solutions, coupled with experience in custom-built products and other cloud-based financial platforms and tools.
• Deep understanding and appreciation of agile methodologies, enabling business needs to be understood and transformed into solutions that can be delivered iteratively.
• An AI-forward mindset to transform processes and continuously innovate across the financial technology ecosystem.
• Solid knowledge of integration methodologies and end-to-end core business processes in the areas of finance.
• Understanding of cloud-based technologies and related architecture.
