Group Exercise Instructor

About the Role

The role is responsible for making exercise and the member experience irresistible and delivering group fitness programmes in their truest essence. It aims to maximise growth in fitness services and capacity in group exercise studios, working across London and Collection clubs.

Key Responsibilities

• Personally deliver classes across London and Collection clubs with the uniqueness that has built a following.
• Receive 1-to-1 coaching and feedback through quality assurance assessments.
• Deliver signature programme in VA brand wear or uniform.
• Deliver training for specialised areas after at least 3–6 months in role.
• Assist the Head of Exercise Experience with quality assurance and live assessments, and partner with them to provide team members with coaching and performance feedback when appropriate.
• Liaise with the Head of Exercise Experience to assess, monitor and improve programme delivery and support the team with "Experience Leader" responsibilities.
• Contribute to programming development and refreshes.
• Partner with Head Office, Regional Group Exercise Managers and club teams on public relations and marketing strategies.
• Establish and manage a social media profile in accordance with company guidelines and policy.
• Maintain minimum 75% class occupancy and score 80% or better in quality assurance assessments.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Aligned experience in the formats taught.
• Ability to create meaningful programmes and encourage mindfulness of the people around you, including members and employees.
• Athlete and performer.
• Love designing programmes as much as delivering them.
• People-focused.
• Raw and magnetic personality.
• Confident and cool under pressure.
• Ability to inspire members and fellow teammates to push themselves to new heights, one class at a time.
• Sincere, authentic and transparent, but respectful.
• Self-assured and emotionally intelligent.
• Ability to listen intently, receive and actualise on feedback.
• Motivated to continually improve.
• Ability to speak eloquently when connecting with members and representing the Virgin Active brand.
• Level 3 in Fitness or a recognised instructor qualification.
• First aid qualification.

• £24.41—£24.41 GBP
