About the Role

This role is responsible for maximising the strategic, commercial and content value of Science in Sport's portfolio of global partnerships, teams, athletes, ambassadors and performance relationships. It goes beyond servicing sponsorship agreements, turning partnerships into active marketing assets that build the brand, strengthen credibility in elite performance, create high-quality content, reach relevant communities and contribute to commercial growth. Working within the Global Marketing Operating System, the postholder connects partnerships into the wider marketing engine so that rights, access, athletes, events, expertise and stories are systematically converted into content and activation opportunities distributed through owned, earned, partner and paid channels globally. The role works particularly closely with Brand & Strategy, the Content Studio, Audience Growth, Marketing Operations, Science & Performance, Commercial and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear content and asset plan for every major relationship, spanning athlete access, performance stories, science and education, product usage, photography, short- and long-form video, social, interviews, events, appearances, retail, PR and community activation.
  • Work closely with the Content Studio to create a forward pipeline of content rather than relying on reactive activations, briefing it sufficiently early to maximise access and production efficiency.
  • Map sporting calendars, competitions, championships, athlete moments, partner events, product launches, retail opportunities, content capture, PR moments, community activations and science and education opportunities into the Global Marketing Calendar.
  • Create a clear annual activation brief for every Tier 1 strategic relationship covering why it is held, who it enables the brand to reach, what has been bought, what will be created, how value will be distributed and what success looks like.
  • Create a consistent global framework for assessing partnership performance across brand value, content value, community value and commercial value, moving beyond impressions and reach to assess content yield, partner amplification, audience access, product adoption, customer acquisition
  • Retail support, revenue influence and ROI or return on objectives.
  • Produce regular performance reviews with clear grow, maintain, renegotiate or exit recommendations, using measurement to inform future investment decisions rather than justify historic spend.
  • Assess the global sports and performance landscape to identify opportunities that strengthen strategic priorities, evaluating strategic fit, audience, rights, content potential, global relevance, commercial potential and cost
  • And support negotiations and renewals with clear valuation and investment recommendations.
  • Manage partnership budgets and monitor investment against agreed outcomes, coordinate product, logistics, education, sampling and performance requirements, and represent Science in Sport professionally with athletes, teams, rights holders and partners globally.
