About the Role
Aston Villa Football Club is looking to build its retail teams in both of its stores. Retail Sales Assistants form the 'front of house' team, bringing energy and creating an inclusive and welcoming shopping experience for supporters. The role combines thoughtful product guidance and support with customer queries alongside the efficient and friendly processing of sales at payment points. Assistants also maintain the stores' look and feel, replenishing stock, looking after merchandising stands and tidying item displays.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as part of the stores' 'front of house' team, creating a customer shopping experience that is inclusive and welcoming for all.
- Offer thoughtful product guidance and assist and support customers with their queries.
- Process sales at payment points in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Replenish stock, maintain merchandising stands and tidy item displays to keep the stores' look and feel to the highest standard.
- Use effective selling skills to highlight promotional items to customers.
- Help achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of professionalism and a 'customer first' approach.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience of working in clothing retail.
- Exceptional customer service skills with an engaging approach.
- Active listening skills and the ability to be persuasive as and when required.
- Excellent organisational skills, suited to fast-paced and dynamic store environments.
- A pro-active, positive and passionate approach, thriving in a customer-focused environment.
- Motivation to achieve sales targets.
- Consistent reliability.
- Ability to work flexibly across a weekly rota, including evenings, weekends and matchdays for Villa Park-based roles.
Workplace
- Bullring Store contracts: full time (35 hours per week), part time (16 hours per week), part time (12 hours per week) and variable hours.
- Villa Park Store contracts: full time (35 hours per week) and matchday (working 80% of all Men's First Team matches at Villa Park).
- Hours are worked on a weekly rota, which is communicated in advance.
Salary
£13.85 Per hour
