What are we looking for? What will you be doing? We are seeking a collaborative Volunteer Web Developer to join our digital team and contribute to developing, launching, and maintaining our web platform from initial conception through to final delivery. Working alongside our UX/UI design team and core technical volunteers, you will help convert wireframes, component libraries, and user flows into a fully functioning, high-performing digital platform. As an active team member, you will assist across the development cycle—from building layouts in WordPress and Elementor to custom front-end styling, plugin configuration, and ongoing site maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Collaboration: Work with the UX/UI team and project leads to implement platform requirements and turn design wireframes into functional web pages.
  • Front-End Styling & CSS: Write clean custom CSS and HTML to customize page builders, tweak layout styling, and ensure responsive design alignment across mobile and desktop.

  • Website Management & Maintenance: Help maintain site health, run routine software/plugin updates, manage site backups, and optimize page load speeds.
  • Testing & Bug Fixing: Perform cross-browser testing, fix display glitches, resolve plugin conflicts, and support WCAG web accessibility standards.

What We’re Looking For: Hands-on experience building or maintaining WordPress sites using Elementor. Good CSS coding skills and experience configuring plugins and web features. Enthusiasm for working collaboratively as part of a team throughout the site development lifecycle. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
