They are seeking a number of Site Engineers to support its expanding UK Renewable Energy division with a growing portfolio of utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects.
We are looking for a proactive Civil Engineer to join our renewable energy team, focusing on the planning, design, and construction of large-scale solar PV projects (5 MW and above). The role involves:
- Managing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Coordinating with contractors, surveyors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects efficiently and successfully from construction through to commissioning.
- Working closely with the Construction Manager, project team, and subcontractors to ensure electrical works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Overseeing and managing day-to-day construction site activities to ensure project timelines are met.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to guide site operations accurately.
- Conducting site inspections and quality control checks to ensure standards and specifications are met.
- Monitoring project progress and preparing regular reports on timelines, costs, and performance.
- Resolving technical issues and providing engineering solutions during construction phases.
- Ensuring accurate setting out, levelling, and surveying of the construction site.
- Maintaining documentation, including daily logs, method statements, and risk assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Site Engineer or similar role.
- Previous experience on utility-scale solar PV projects (+5 MW).
- Understanding of health & safety regulations and construction standards.
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, earthing, cable installation, and grid connection works.
- Excellent use of English.
- Construction experience and UK driving licence.
