We are working with a leading international renewable energy organisation to appoint an experienced O&M Project Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of utility-scale energy assets across the UK.
Location: UK (Hybrid with site visits)
The Role
This position sits within the Operations & Maintenance function and is responsible for ensuring optimal performance of operational assets, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the commercial and contractual success of projects. You will combine technical expertise with project and stakeholder management to ensure assets are operating efficiently and in line with contractual KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day O&M activities across operational energy projects
- Ensure performance aligns with contractual KPIs and service agreements
- Support resolution of technical issues across sites
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Provide regular updates, performance reports, and issue resolution
- Commercial & Budget Oversight
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
- Contribute to maintaining strong commercial performance of O&M contracts
- Contract & Project Close-Out
- Support contract management, including risk mitigation related to defects or delays
- Assist with legal and commercial discussions where required
- People Management
- Support recruitment and development of local O&M teams
- Manage contractors and supplier relationships, including sourcing and vetting
- Reporting & Documentation
- Contribute to monthly and annual O&M reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and project backups
About You
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience in O&M, asset management, or operations within renewable energy
- Strong understanding of operational performance metrics and KPIs
- Experience managing clients, contractors, and multiple stakeholders
- Commercial awareness with exposure to budgets and contracts
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Experience in solar PV, BESS, or other renewable energy assets
- Previous experience in an EPC or asset owner environment
