The role involves conducting screening and research due diligence/business intelligence to support the Bank's pipeline and portfolio. The individual will interface with internal clients, support continuous improvement in operational processes, and ensure adherence to Integrity Due Diligence Guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Execute screening/research processes to expected service standards (quantitative and qualitative).
- Demonstrate personal commitment to delivering outstanding operational performance by adhering to established operational metrics - quality, timeliness and customer satisfaction.
- Respond to queries in a prompt and timely manner, escalating across the three lines of defence when necessary.
- Communicate with relevant departments to ensure decision-makers are aware of risks involved with specific projects/transactions.
- Provide additional capacity across the wider screening team to maintain expected service levels, including unanticipated deadlines.
- Ensure quality of output and adherence to established quality/assurance targets.
- Support improvement of OSMs control environment.
- Ensure new processes and practices comply with quality standards, policies and legislation.
- Be a team player responsible for creating a best in class operational function.
- Identify opportunities to improve personal and collective operational metrics.
- Conform to established service levels and standards in day-to-day operational activity.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues/teams involved in a hybrid service model.
- Facilitate operational outcomes adhering to established service levels.
- Positively influence others to help deliver a sustainable operations function.
- Work proactively with the Business to identify and manage backlogs and guide prioritisation.
- Be an ambassador for OSM across other departments by delivering outstanding operational outcomes.
Requirements
- Good experience in a corporate research unit in the financial services sector.
- Understanding of current market practices and related technology platforms (and their functionality/capabilities).
- Comfortable with balancing operational workloads/queues and actively communicating with Banking and Compliance teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Must have positive, collaborative and solution orientated attitude with a track record of achieving results across KYC/AML and/or Research teams.
- Fluent English (essential); Russian, French/Arabic, Turkish are advantageous.
