Procurement Lead in Reading

3 month contract, £700pd inside IR35, remote based (occasional travel to Berkshire), immediate start

We are urgently seeking a Procurement Lead to support us on the delivery of our public-sector client\’s brand-new procurement framework that will shape their commercial approach for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a new organisation-wide procurement framework
• Provide expert advice on procurement regulations, category strategy, and commercial best practice
• Support procurement teams with requests where needed
• Engage stakeholders to ensure compliant, value-driven procurement activity
• Oversee tendering, evaluation, and contract award processes

About You

• Proven experience working within UK government or wider public sector procurement
• Strong knowledge of public procurement regulations (PCR, DPS, frameworks, etc.)
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Track record of delivering complex or large-scale procurement projects
