We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT to lead and develop our non-profit client's technology function. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping the organisation's IT strategy, managing third-party partners, and ensuring robust, secure, and efficient systems that support business growth. The role will have management responsibility of 1 junior IT professional, and will require significant management of third-party suppliers in a heavily outsourced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the overall IT strategy aligned with objectives
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT-related third-party suppliers and managed service providers
- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations with suppliers
- Lead and manage a junior IT professional
- Oversee IT infrastructure, systems, and network performance
- Ensure data security, compliance, and risk management practices are in place
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement
- Drive digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to senior stakeholders
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role
- Strong track record of managing third-party suppliers and managed service providers
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and cybersecurity
- Demonstrated ability to deliver IT strategy and transformation projects
- Excellent leadership, budget management and team management skills
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Relevant degree or professional certifications in IT or related field
