We are looking for an expert in government finance, with a good knowledge of VAT essential. You will be able to provide support in delivering month-end processes (journals, reconciliations) with accuracy and timeliness, using your financial accounting knowledge to ensure robust financial control across the organisation. Along with the Senior Financial Accounting Manager, you will assist in coaching a small team, directing daily tasks and reviewing work. A critical element of the team’s work during this time will be the preparation of the annual accounts and the NAO audit across planning, interim and final, so experience in this area is also important.
Key Skills & Experience
- Expertise in government accounting, in particular HMRC's VAT Contracted Out Services headings and UK government finance policies.
- Experience of working with the National Audit Office (NAO).
- Experience in financial accounts preparation.
- CCAB fully qualified with relevant post-qualification experience working in a UK government finance team.
