Your role:
The Windows Administrator β L3, is a key member of the Operations team and works closely with other System Administrators, Desktop, Security, and Cyber Security Operations Center teams. The Senior Windows Administrator is responsible for the design, management, and support of our Windows environments, with a focus on corporate services for Exchange, Active Directory, and desktop management (GPO, SCCM, MDT, MSI re-packaging).
Your responsibilities:
Administer corporate Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange environments, act as a SME for other internal and client facing AD & Exchange deploymentsDevelop, implement, and manage desktop management policies related to securing desktops, applying group policies, and deploying softwareUpdate documentation, write new procedures, and detail Exchange and Active Directory configurationsDeliver timely and high quality incident resolution and post-incident analysis focusing on root cause, prevention, and knowledge transferDevelop and implement strategies for providing proactive support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deploymentsRespond in a timely manner to Support and Operations cases related to Exchange, AD or other Windows Server issuesEnsure all Windows systems operate with a high service availabilityEnsure that the corporate services adhere to our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery ProgramsAbout you: Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience with Exchange and at least 10 years of overall experience in IT administration and advanced computer supportTechnology infrastructure design, implementation and management including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, MDT, and SCCMAbility to monitor, test and analyze system activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availabilityAbility to analyze system usage and plan for growth or increases in system capacityAbility to identify and resolve problems affecting systems performance, efficiency, and availability in a timely mannerAbility to assess the need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant)Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange including experience with mailbox server failover and cluster managementExtensive knowledge of Windows server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, DFS-R, File and Print Services, and GPO validation, management, and implementationKnowledge of Microsoft Exchange PowerShell commands needed to manage Exchange features, roles, mailboxes, performance and troubleshootingComfortable with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project and Visio with knowledge of Office Outlook features, configuration and troubleshootingExperience with troubleshooting & resolving complex technical problems, writes reports and creates documentation processes and proceduresDemonstrated ability to work both collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently in an effective and organized manner in a complex and challenging environmentComfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written EnglishStrong organization skill and initiativesResourcefulness in problem solving abilitiesKnowledge of IP phone systems would be considered an assetMicrosoft MCSA, A+, or MTA certification would be considered an assetThis role will require a minimum of 3 days in the office per week, During your first 3 months of employment you may be required to be in the office more often for training.
