Your role:
- Assist the Head Chef with food preparation, cooking, menu planning, organisation (breakfast, lunch or special events) and collaborate on related matters.
- Help in the design, testing, and implementation of food during the season.
- Produce quality food for staff and clients in both design and taste.
- Monitor the kitchen area and staff to ensure sanitation standards are maintained.
- Train and supervise new kitchen members.
- Daily checking of floors and satellite kitchens to ensure high standards before leaving.
- Assist with food labelling, inventory, and ordering.
- Ensure food quality and that the kitchen is clean, safe, and hygienic.
- Ensure all food products prepared are not expired.
- Deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.
- Ensure every employee follows good hygiene practices and arrives on time.
- Offer suggestions and creative ideas to improve kitchen performance, menu options, and service levels.
- Unload and put away deliveries and goods daily.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting repairs to the admin team.
- Coordinate satellite kitchen floors, prep planning, and ingredient tracking.
- Support sourcing, ordering, and stock management.
Office & Administrative Support:
- Manage daily admin tasks, scheduling, and internal coordination.
- Assist with emails, documentation, and basic reporting.
- Help streamline systems and workflows for the Head Chef.
- Act as a point of contact between kitchen, suppliers, and external partners.
Your responsibilities:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
- 3 years experience in a similar setting.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Comfortable working in an office-based environment alongside open kitchen operations.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Confident with basic office tools (email, spreadsheets, documents).
- Discreet, reliable, and professional.
