Your role: As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) you will be part of a small, highly focused team responsible for delivering an internal and customer-facing native mobile application. The team comprises a technical product manager (TPM), four senior software developers, and an SDET; and you will collaborate with them, and relevant backend teams. Your work will consist of building and maintaining comprehensive automated tests for the frontend application, including (but not limited to) component, UI journey, and end-to-end tests. Your duties will also include writing detailed test cases and test plans, raising bugs as needed, and managing devices and test data. Furthermore, some manual testing is required. You will be instrumental in the construction and maintenance of your team’s automation frameworks and coverage to attain industry-leading test practices. You will support the team’s testing efforts to ensure quality of coverage, quality of code, and quality of delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Define and automate test cases that verify product requirements
- Write code to support development of automated frameworks and tests
- Contribute to decisions in the architecture and design of test frameworks
- Pair with developers in designing contract tests for both consumer and producer
- Perform cross-browser testing
- Participate in test execution, issue identification, and resolution in support of the release
- Maintain test infrastructure and tools
- Participate in team planning and story grooming
- Conduct code reviews, improve and maintain quality of the automation code
- Conduct test reviews, improve and maintain quality of the test coverage
- Document the automation framework, tools, and infrastructure
About you: Minimum 3 years of experience in test development. Excellent understanding of Swift. Excellent understanding of testing practices in an agile environment. Excellent understanding of iOS ecosystem. Experience with XCUITest. Experience with any of the following is an asset: Network principles and protocols such as HTTP, TLS, and TCP; Web services technology such as REST and JSON; Continuous integration systems such as Jenkins; Knowledge of Appium.
