We are currently looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Service Technician/Site Services Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Burton on Trent. The client is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering and aerospace.

Responsibilities

  • Fault finding/fault rectification and carrying out electrical and basic mechanical repairs.
  • Machine maintenance, breakdowns and planned maintenance visits.
  • Work on installation projects, testing and commissioning as required.
  • Surveying and estimating of materials needed, and the creation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Work on a six weeks on and two weeks off rota, with UK and Amsterdam travel.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in electrical discipline ideally to HNC level; NVQ Level 3 or above considered.
  • Proven track record in electrical maintenance and installation work.
  • Strong fault-finding skills; ability to interrogate PLC programmes, I/O (Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley).
  • Ability to follow circuit diagrams and specifications.
  • Project installation work and panel building experience.
  • Experience of commissioning new and refurbished machinery.
  • Basic mechanical installation skills.
  • Working knowledge of combustion systems would be advantageous but not essential.
