We are currently looking for experienced Electronics Assemblers to join one of our clients on a long term basis. The company is a world leader in the manufacture, modification and servicing of specialist products for the rail industry. Based in their purpose-built premises in Wiltshire, the role will involve working on the modification of components for trains.
The main duties will include the following:
- Assisting in the removal of components
- Testing and fault finding on existing and new equipment
- Replacement of faulty components
- Repair of faulty equipment
- Re-build of equipment
- Wiring of controls and equipment
- General electronics fitting work
The successful candidates will be experienced in electronics repair and assembly. They will ideally be used to working on testing, fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of smaller scale machinery, although it is essential that applicants can read and understand diagrams. Applicants will ideally hold a recognised relevant qualification in either an electrical or electronics discipline. An IPC qualification in crimping or soldering would also be a distinct advantage, as would experience with PCB repairs or working with 3 phase output on production tests. Experience of air conditioning repair/maintenance would also be desirable but is not essential.
