We are currently looking for experienced HVAC Technicians to join one of our clients on a long term basis. The company is a world leader in the manufacture, modification and servicing of specialist products for the rail industry. Based on site in Milton Keynes, this HVAC Technicians role will involve working on strip, repair and rebuild of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems for trains.

The main duties will include the following:

  • Assisting in the removal of the units from the trains where necessary
  • Testing and fault finding on equipment
  • Stripping units down to their component parts
  • Repairing or replacing parts where needed
  • Repairing pipework where necessary
  • Re‐gassing air conditioning units
  • Rebuilding the units
  • Assisting in the re‐fitting of the units to trains if needed

Applicants for this HVAC Technicians role must have a proven track record in a similar role and have some, if not all of the following:

  • F‐Gas certification (essential)
  • Brazing certification (preferred)
  • Mechanical fitting experience
  • Experience of working on railway rolling stock HVAC Systems (highly desirable)
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Understanding of relevant rail safety standards and procedures
  • Strong awareness of H&S practices

This HVAC Technicians role is an ongoing basis and could be long term for the right candidates. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company and for someone to make their own mark on the role.
