We are currently looking for a Logistics Operative to join one of our clients on a permanent basis. The company is a well-respected market leader in specialist equipment for a range of sectors including construction, energy production, process and water treatment and this is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding and successful organisation.
Based in their modern premises in Stafford, the role will involve helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience by taking proactive responsibility for equipment movements, including customer deliveries, handovers and collections, fulfilling tasks to a high standard cost efficiently, safely and to full customer satisfaction.
The main duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Delivering and collecting equipment nationwide, including offloading, loading and handover.
- Cleaning/washing down and moving hire equipment around the yard and finalising the preparation of equipment pre-despatch.
- Overseeing third party deliveries and collections into/from the yard.
- Keeping the yard area clean and ensuring waste is controlled.
- Assisting with any other yard, workshop or facilities tasks as required.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar role and will preferably have worked in an engineering and/or service environment in the past. A broad practical knowledge and experience of working with mechanical and electrical equipment is essential and applicants must have a full driving licence.
In addition, the following would be useful but are not essential:
- A Working at Height qualification such as IPAF.
- Valid forklift truck licence (e.g. Teletruck/Reach Truck).
- CSCS Card.
