We are currently looking for experienced Train Door Technicians to join one of our clients on a long term basis. The company is a world leader in the manufacture, modification and servicing of specialist products for the rail industry. Based on site in South East London, this Door Technicians role will involve carrying out a retro-fit to train doors along with some maintenance, repair and installation of doors.

The work will involve the following amongst other duties:

  • Provide on-site support for repairs, upgrades, and overhauls of engineering systems.
  • Carrying out modifications, troubleshooting and integration of existing systems.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and suggest corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve technical issues.

Applicants for this Door Technicians role must have a proven track record in similar work and be able to carry out troubleshooting and fault finding. Familiarity with door wings, sliding steps, and drives is essential along with hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of technological mechanical systems. The successful applicants will also have a relevant recognised qualification such as mechatronics or electrical engineering.
