We are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters to join one of our clients on a contract basis. Working on a variety of heavy engineering/engineering construction sites around the UK and Ireland. The client is a market-leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of specialist rotating equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering, power generation and petro-chemical.
The role will include carrying out a range of mechanical fitting duties including helping to remove a wide range of equipment, the planned and preventative maintenance of equipment and breakdown repairs. Sites are based around the UK.
Applicants must be experienced Mechanical Fitters ideally with a proven track record of working in a heavy engineering/engineering construction environment. The ability to read and understand engineering drawings is preferable. Previous experience of mechanical fitting and working away on site is preferred as is experience of working in heavy engineering and construction environments. A relevant recognised qualification is also desirable although not essential.
Previous experience of carrying out slinging and lifting would also be useful but again is not essential. A current CCNSG Site Safety Passport is useful but not essential.
NEACI “Blue Book” rates will apply to this mechanical fitting role which will include overtime, travel expenses, lodge and travel time. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major world leader in their field with the chance to work on some very prestigious and interesting sites.
