The Opportunity
We're recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and growing 24/7 multi-trade contractor based in Paisley. Working across social housing, reactive maintenance and private domestic projects, you'll play a key role in ensuring completed works are accurately costed, billed and commercially profitable. With over 2,500 jobs completed each month, this is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced business offering genuine long-term career prospects.
The Role
- Reviewing completed works, preparing invoices and ensuring maximum commercial recovery through agreed Schedule of Rates (SoR) pricing.
- Producing quotations and final accounts for private domestic projects, including plumbing, heating, bathrooms, kitchens and electrical works.
- Maintaining accurate job costing and records using simPRO, while working closely with engineers, supervisors and customers to resolve commercial queries and achieve weekly billing targets.
About You
- Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Estimator or Commercial role within construction, social housing or repairs and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SoR), ideally NHF/M3NHF, and strong commercial awareness.
- Good Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel), excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Experience with simPRO would be an advantage.
