Maintenance Engineer
Are you a multi-disciplined maintenance engineer looking for a varied and challenging role in a dynamic manufacturing organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client s maintenance team.
Global Recruitment are looking for an individual with strong organizational skills and expertise in fault finding to ensure the smooth operation of the fabrication workshop equipment across multiple sites.
Salary -Up to £48,000 (Dependant on shifts / Experience) + Overtime
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Electrical & Mechanical maintenance across the whole site
• Supporting the engineering department with delivery timely close out of PPM schedule
• Attending to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response, and that equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised. Always endeavour to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues to minimise downtime
• Looking for opportunities to continuously improve machine performance
• Delivering effective communications within department
• Ensuring compliance with safety measures / regulations
• Ensuring lock out tag out methodology is put in to practise where applicable
• Ensuring all equipment/building/machinery defects are reported accordingly
About you:
As well as being organised and motivated, we would like someone who:
• knowledge of electrical systems, 18th Edition an advantage
• proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and maintenance
• experience in PLC fault finding an advantage
• is able to demonstrate an understanding of processes and safe working practices.
• has excellent planning skills to develop effective maintenance programs
• has knowledge and experience of automotive, mechanical, electrical, control and hydraulic systems and components
• has a positive attitude towards health and safety

• 39 hours per week Mon to Thurs 8.00 4.30 & Fri 8.00 3.30 (Nightshift available)
• 28 days holiday (24 days are paid at basic rate x 1.33)
