Global Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a leading architectural steel specialist based in Luton. They deliver high-quality bespoke steelwork projects across London, including staircases, balconies, balustrades, handrails, and architectural metalwork.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced steelwork installer, fabricator, foreman, or site supervisor looking to take the next step in their career and move into a contracts management position.
The Role
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in managing projects from award through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will:
- Manage and coordinate multiple architectural steelwork projects across London
- Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Attend site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained
- Support project planning, programmes, and resource management
- Assist with variations, costs, and contract administration
- Coordinate installation teams and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to client expectations
- Build strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders
This role is primarily office-based in Luton, with regular site visits across London.

About You
We are looking for someone with a background in architectural or structural steelwork, who is ready to take the next step into a Contracts Manager role. You may currently be:
- A Steelwork Installer/Fitter looking to move off the tools
- A Foreman or Site Supervisor ready for a management position
- A Fabrication Supervisor wanting more responsibility
- A Project Coordinator or Assistant Contracts Manager looking to progress
You will ideally have:
- Strong knowledge of steel installation and site processes
- Experience working with architectural steelwork such as staircases, balconies, balustrades, handrails, and bespoke metalwork
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to coordinate teams, solve problems, and manage multiple projects
- A practical understanding of how steelwork projects are delivered on site
