Here at Global Recruitment Group Ltd we pride ourselves on providing the very best service to our clients and we seek to recruit experienced professionals to support our client's business needs. We are looking to recruit an apprentice trained, time served Welder / Fabricator on a Temp - permanent basis.
Location: Glasgow, Govan
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:45pm (Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm)
Rate of pay: Up to £19 per hour + Overtime (CIS / Umbrella)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the selection and procurement of materials and equipment required for TIG welding.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and callipers.
- Perform TIG/MIG welding on materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.
- Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements.
- Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts.
- Oversee the set-up of TIG welding equipment.
- Operate power and hand tools such as grinders, orbital sander, hand drills etc.
- Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
- Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repair.
- You will be required to undertake a weld test.
