Global Recruitment, on behalf of a trusted client, is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Guillotine Operator to join a growing team in the Govan area of Glasgow. This is a temp-to-perm position.

Location: Govan, Glasgow

Rate: £17.50 per hour

Payment Method: CIS / Umbrella

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:45pm, Friday 8:00am-3:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the sheet metal manufacturing process
  • Accurately cut sheet metal using guillotines (including Amada models)
  • Work from technical drawings
  • Operate various hand and power tools safely
  • Follow established in-house processes and procedures

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experienced in working with a range of metals, including aluminium, pre-coated sheet, and stainless steel
  • Skilled with precision measuring tools to ensure accurate fabrication
  • High attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality under tight tolerances
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre large metal sheets and work in different positions for extended periods
