Overview
Steel Fitter / Steel erector / Fabricator – Global Recruitment have an opportunity for an experienced steel Fabricator / Fitter to join our client\’s highly skilled team on a permanent basis.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic pay rate £17.50 per hour with all overtime paid at time & a half after 39 hours (rates & job role under constant review with opportunities to progress).
- Bonus / additional earning potential – £120 extra per month O/T Bonus (32 hours overtime over a four week period to qualify).
- Holiday pay would be £25 – £30 per hour for 30 days.
- 3% pension paid on total earnings & if you have less than 3 days absence in a year, £150 is paid into your first January wage.
- Permanent Position.
- Location – Multiple sites across the UK (Initial project is in Dalry).
Responsibilities / Suitable candidates
- You must be experienced in all types of Fitting, Fabrication and Welding to a high standard with an emphasis on architectural steelwork.
- You must have the ability to read from Engineering drawings and work on your own initiative in a workshop environment and on Customer premises.
- We require people who have good communication skills, a positive attitude and who are extremely flexible in their approach to all aspects of Engineering & their working hours.
- Supervisory/Leadership skills would be a distinct advantage but not essential, provided skills are to a high standard.
- You must have experience fabricating both architectural & structural steel.
- Valid CSCS Card (Must have).
- IPAF (Prefered).
