The Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of works across the rail and civil engineering sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, compliantly, within budget and to agreed timescales. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders, while identifying new opportunities to support the growth of a sustainable portfolio of work and maximise revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of a portfolio of rail and civil engineering projects.
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
- Manage project performance, budgets, programmes and commercial outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support revenue growth and the development of a sustainable pipeline of work.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams.
- Ensure effective management of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the business and its client base.
The Person
Ideally, you will have a proven track record in the delivery of medium-sized packages of work within the rail and civil engineering sectors and will be looking to take the next step in your career.
You will possess:
- Strong project and contract management experience.
- A background in rail, civils, renewables or a related infrastructure environment.
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Experience managing budgets, programmes and project delivery.
- The ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- A commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify new opportunities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
