An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project or Contracts Manager to join our Client, a well-established, multi-disciplinary contractor delivering projects across the rail, civil engineering and renewable energy sectors. Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and commercial performance while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in full compliance with current industry legislation. Alongside project delivery, you will play a key role in developing long-term client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and helping to grow a sustainable pipeline of work across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the successful delivery of multiple rail, civils and infrastructure projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Oversee commercial, operational and contractual performance across your portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rail, health & safety and civil engineering legislation.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and support the development of new and existing client accounts.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to project teams, driving high performance and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially aware project professional with a strong background in rail and civil engineering who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering medium-sized rail and civil engineering projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A sound knowledge of current rail industry standards, legislation and health & safety requirements.
- The ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining commercial and operational performance.
- A proactive approach to client engagement and business development.
