My client, Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary Construction Contractor is recruiting for a Bid Manager/Work Winning Engineering Lead to work with their Energy and Industry team. This role can be based out of their office in Dublin or Newry. Their business is well-known for its extensive in-house expertise, experience, and continuous drive to innovate within the industry to create added value for all their customers. Throughout their history they have strived to challenge the norm and incorporate a wide range of new technologies and capabilities to ensure they meet the ever-changing markets and demands. Today they support groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects in four countries - ensuring their energy security for decades to come.
They offer a wide range of services including design, construction and commissioning. They deliver Engineering, Procurement support mobilisation and early works as required. Promote digital engineering and information management and accurate document control throughout the bid lifecycle. Coach and develop engineers within the work winning function; share lessons learned and maintain a library of best‑practice method statements and case studies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ site/project experience in civil engineering and/or power sector delivery, including significant time in construction on live projects.
- Proven preconstruction/tendering experience for major projects.
- Track record of developing construction methodologies, build ability reviews, temporary works strategies, and technical submissions that win work.
- Strong grasp of contracts and procurement in the sector (e.g., NEC, FIDIC) and of estimating/programming interfaces (P6/MS Project, CESMM/BoQ).
- Excellent knowledge of Ireland standards, design codes and safety by design (CDM) principles; able to author technical and HSEQ documentation.
Salary:
- Salary €80k-€120k DOE
- 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays with the option to buy an additional 2 days holiday each year, holidays increase with length of service.
