About the Reconciliation Manager role

We are looking for a Reconciliation Manager to join our expanding team in London. You will be responsible for supporting our clients in maximising the value of our reconciliation solution as well as ensuring their reconciliation processes are accurate, efficient and compliant with network requirements. The Reconciliation Manager will be the SME on network reconciliation requirements within our payments platform so the role requires a deep understanding of financial reconciliation processes.

What you will be doing as a Reconciliation Manager:

  • Acting as the SME for network (Visa and Mastercard) reconciliation, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with clients to onboard them onto our reconciliation tool, providing guidance on best practices and supporting them in resolving discrepancies.
  • Being a senior escalation point for high-priority and client-impacting issues.
  • Leading a small reconciliation team.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance reconciliation workflows, leveraging the tools automated solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their reconciliation needs and providing solutions that improve their experience.
  • Gathering client feedback and collaborating with internal teams to drive product improvements that enhance our reconciliation offering.
  • Identifying trends in reconciliation issues and proposing improvements to reduce manual effort.
  • Supporting the rollout of new reconciliation features by testing and validating updates before deployment.

What you will bring to the Reconciliation Manager position:

  • Background working in the payments industry.
  • Deep understanding of network reconciliation (Visa and Mastercard).
  • Familiarity with Visa and Mastercard reconciliation standards and network fees.
  • Strong understanding of authorisation, presentment flows and reconciliation logic.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex reconciliation concepts.
  • The ability to work with cross-functional teams, including product, operations and engineering.
  • Leadership experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in chargebacks and dispute resolution would be desirable.
  • Experience working with Discover and AMEX reconciliation methods would be desirable.
