We’re looking for a Senior Database Analyst to join our ever evolving Database management team and help shape the future of global commerce.What you’ll ownThis role is a key position within the Enterprise Big Data Solutions (EBDS) team and will play a criticalpart in defining and driving the Global Data Strategy. You will take responsibility for stakeholderengagement as well as guiding development teams towards product delivery. You will need to have abreadth of experience across end to end BI/Analytics/Engineering Data product delivery fromrequirement to signoff. You should be hands on technically but also have strong soft skills, be able tocollaborate with colleagues and business partners but also work through a problem alone.Partner with the business teams/stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and help themdrive value through data/analytics capability and technologyIdentify & develop opportunities to improve existing analytical & data solutionsDeliver industry best practice products and solutionsTake personal responsibility for quality of individual deliverables, and contribute to the qualityassurance of the team’s deliverablesPro-actively contribute to troubleshooting of data requirements, data modelling, data qualityand data governance issues with the wider EBDS TeamBecome an integral part of the team, supporting key projects and programs critical to its successWhat you’ll bringStrong technical/development skills with ability to be hands on as required. Must includeexcellent SQL skills supported by skills and experience in the array of tools, languages andproducts that support the Data industry, a focus being SSMS/SSIS and Oracle database designExtensive Experience capturing and translating complex business requirements in to practicalsolutionsExcellent communication skills, able to tailor results into language appropriate for the audienceStrong analytical and problem solving skills with an eye for detailWillingness to learn and adapt with a positive attitudeIt’s a bonus if you haveExperience using Salesforce to manage client activity and maintain accurate, compliant records.A background in payments, fintech, or a client-facing commercial role.Experience using data or insights to improve client performance, retention, or growth.About the teamWe position ourselves as trusted business partners and work very closely with both business and technical stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and develop data products to drive value.
