Description

We have an exciting opening and are recruiting for an Underwriter/Credit Analyst to join our expanding regional team in UK & Ireland. Team Members are based in both Dublin & Leicester. Work in close collaboration with wider Credit Team Members in other Global Payments locations (including Leicester, England, Dublin, Ireland & Manila, Philippines).

Main Duties

  • Underwriting of businesses applying for Card Payments facilities
  • Assessment / evaluation of feasibility of merchant’s business models in the POS (Point-of-Sale), MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) and ECOM (E-Commerce) environment including the inherent risks related to card acceptance/acquiring
  • Performance of financial analysis based on financial statements and forecast
  • Assessment of business models in the context of due diligence and compliance with the guidelines of the payment institutions
  • Assess and interpret Credit Bureau Reports
  • Verification that ECOM websites fulfil card scheme’s requirements (card due diligence)
  • In line with granted credit authority, approval of merchant applications based on the risk assessment including the definition of required collaterals
  • Communicate with sales channels and partners regarding new applications
  • Proactively monitoring of the Merchant Portfolio
  • Verification of adherence to compliance requirements and credit guidelines
  • Periodic credit reviewing of the portfolio
  • Participation in training of partners and merchants on risk management processes
  • Calculation of reserves/collaterals based on credit exposure
  • Work in close collaboration with wider Credit Team Members in other Global Payments locations
