PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of agents operating throughout Europe, the UK, and further, depending on our customers’ requests, ensuring on-site or remote support for our clients in their efforts to re-align supplier performance, on-time delivery, and overall program progress. The successful candidate will build and grow relationships with senior management of clients and their respective suppliers, to provoke changes at a strategic level in parallel to expanding sales on an existing customer base.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment and HR Management: Liaise with The General Manager and GPSI customer to obtain the correct ‘Problem Statement’, then seek and if necessary, recruit suitable candidate(s) to fulfil our customers’ needs. While recruiting, periodically negotiate with other recruitment agencies for a successful outcome for GPSI BU. Manage employee performance, development, and mobilization. Additional HR and operational tasks as required.
  • Consultant and Supplier Management: Oversee and manage consultants' travel approvals when required. Lead supplier governance related to Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain or any other service that is affecting production/timeliness in deliveries. Manage the business relationship between suppliers and client’s supplier management team. When required, oversee governance of payments to consultants via a local umbrella company.
  • Finance and Purchase Orders: Manage / Liaise with GPSI Finance department, Purchase order status ‘Customer to GPSI’. Manage / Liaise with GPSI Finance department, current Funds on Purchase Orders.
  • Project and Performance Management: Ensure the efficient delivery of all project deliverables and participate in problem solving and recovery plans necessary to meet deadlines and ensure execution. Monitor the objectives in terms of profitability, cost progress and project. Obtain and monitor customer satisfaction with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Drive action plans to enhance production ability without compromising quality. Lead and establish the basis for recovery, corrective and preventative action plans. Leverage cost saving opportunities from other programs or from industry best practices.
  • Internal Communication and Governance: Ensure a seamless and sufficient flow of information inside the organization. Oversee internal deadlines and schedules relating to governance and performance reporting milestones. Stay informed on all organizational modifications and company processes.
  • Sales and Collaboration: Collaborate with peers and other Business Units to obtain the best performance combination for our customers whilst achieving our sales and revenue plan. Lead and participate in the sales process when required in our Ireland, UK and Europe Region. E.g. Paris Air Show, Aeromart Toulouse, Farnborough Airshow.

KEY INDICATORS
As part of his/her function, contribution to the achievement of Global Partner Solution’s objectives for the position of the Business Unit Manager is assessed using the following key indicators: Accounts Receivable Turnover, Labor Utilization, Completion of sales objectives, Maintaining recurring customers, Customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Human Resources related degree or further education. Degree in Operations Management or Business Administration is a plus.
  • 5 or more years experience in Human Resources management reporting to senior levels within an organization.
  • Hands-on experience implementing operational principles and processes.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Direct experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager.
  • Supply Chain Strategy and Project Management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio an asset).
  • Exemplary communication (both written and spoken) and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Multilingual in English, French, and Spanish would be beneficial.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Working environment: This role is performed in a professional office environment. Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Physical requirements: In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; to walk; use hands to type on computer, etc.
  • Type of position/expected working hours: Some flexibility in scheduling is permitted, but the employee must be available during “core” working hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and must work 40 hours per week.
  • Salary Range: £45k - £55k Annually.
