Responsibilities- Volunteer with a local grass-roots charity providing educational support to underprivileged communities in Guatemala.
- Choose projects working with a range of ages, from toddlers to young mothers.
- Engage in hands-on experience in teaching and educational workshops.
- Support flexible placement tailored according to your interests and abilities.
- Assist with home-stay immersion or other accommodation options as available.
- Contribute to dedicated support with teams based in the UK and Guatemala.
- Participate in optional excursions to volcanoes, waterfalls and colonial towns.
- Learn Spanish with 25 pre-departure lessons included.
- Assist in programs for various age groups, including young children (0β5), adolescents (13β18), and adults (especially young mothers and pregnant women).
- Help set up educational workshops on nutritious food preparation and sustainable resource use; assist with handicraft activities to support family income.
- Immerse yourself in local life with optional home-stays; other accommodation options available.
- Receive dedicated support from teams in the UK and Guatemala.
- Enjoy optional excursions to Mayan sites, volcanoes, and colonial towns.
- Pre-departure Spanish lessons are included.
