Role: Sign Fitter / Maintenance Technician (Petrol Station Forecourts)
Location: Field-based (UK-wide)
Salary/Rate: Competitive rates of pay + overtime + overnight allowance + pension
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Sign Fitter / Maintenance Technician to join our team servicing and installing signage across commercial petrol station forecourts.
Forecourt environments demand the highest standards of care. You will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining main ID towers, canopy fascias, pump island branding, and illuminated signage. A methodical approach and an uncompromised commitment to Health & Safety are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair various forecourt signage systems and structural brand elements.
- Follow detailed risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and site-specific permit-to-work procedures.
- Work efficiently at height using access equipment (PAME/IPAF) while maintaining strict safety controls.
- Methodically troubleshoot electrical and mechanical signage faults.
- Represent the company professionally on customer sites, maintaining clean and secure work areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Health & Safety First: A meticulous, safety-led mindset with zero tolerance for shortcutting protocols.
- UKPIA / SPA Forecourt Safety Passport: Strongly preferred (training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Experience: Background in sign fitting, mechanical assembly, or forecourt maintenance preferred.
- Certifications (Desirable): IPAF, PASMA, or CSCS cards.
- Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (travel and occasional overnight stays required).
- Work Ethic: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured, methodical way of working.
