  • Work across broadcast technology: Support studio audio, routing and Audio-over-IP systems; radio playout and automation platforms including RCS Zetta and GSelector; and video, ingest, streaming and production systems.
  • Partner with production teams: Provide practical technical support to presenters, producers, journalists, creators and other teams, including for Outside Broadcasts, live events and temporary facilities.
  • Maintain reliable ways of working: Keep technical documentation up to date and follow incident and change-management processes. Participate in the engineering on-call rota for urgent issues outside normal working hours.

What You’ll Love About This Role

Think Big: Support well-known Global brands and content across live radio, podcasts, video and events.

Own It: Take ownership of technical issues and projects, helping to deliver dependable broadcast systems.

Keep it Simple: Turn complex technical problems into clear, practical solutions for colleagues.

Better Together: Work closely with Engineering, Programming, News, Podcasts, Video and Technology teams.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Built a strong working knowledge of Leicester Square’s broadcast and production systems.
  • Developed effective relationships across Engineering and content teams.
  • Become confident diagnosing common studio, playout, audio, video and network-related faults.
  • Learned Global’s incident management, documentation and on-call processes.
  • Contributed to the successful delivery of technical projects and upgrades.

What You’ll Need

  • Live broadcast experience: Practical experience supporting a live broadcast or production environment.
  • Technical problem-solving: Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to remain calm and effective when supporting live output.
  • Audio and radio systems knowledge: Understanding of audio signal flow, studio systems and radio automation platforms such as RCS Zetta and GSelector, or similar.
  • Video and IP capability: Knowledge of video production, ingest, storage, routing, switching and streaming systems, alongside IP networking including multicast.
  • Audio-over-IP and IT awareness: Familiarity with technologies such as Livewire, AES67 and Dante, and an understanding of software- and IP-based broadcast systems.
  • Collaboration and communication: Ability to work independently while communicating clearly and effectively with a wider technical and production team.
