Global Materials Handling Ltd, an authorised dealer for Toyota Material Handling UK, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Forklift Engineer to join our growing workshop team based in Haydock, St Helens.

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, diagnosis and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment within our workshop. This is a workshop-based role, offering stability and consistent working hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and repairing forklift trucks (electric, LPG and diesel)
  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and inspections
  • Preparing equipment to a high standard for customer delivery
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer standards
The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer or similar plant/mechanical role
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with Toyota trucks is desirable but not essential (training provided)
  • Self-motivated with good attention to detail
