Global Maritime UK is looking to strengthen its UK subcontractor pool with experienced Marine Warranty Surveyors / Marine Consultants who have heavy lift and decommissioning experience. This is an ad-hoc, freelance subcontractor role, supporting complex offshore marine operations across oil & gas and renewables.
What we’re looking for:
- Practical, hands-on experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Heavy lift operations (installation and/or removal)
- Offshore decommissioning campaigns (topsides, jackets, structures)
- Loadouts, transportation, sailaway and offshore installation
- Vessel suitability surveys and marine assurance activities
- Review of marine documentation (method statements, procedures, risk assessments)
- Onshore and offshore attendance, as required
Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
- Proven experience in heavy lift operations (installation and/or removal)
- Experience supporting offshore decommissioning campaigns (topsides, jackets, structures)
- Marine Warranty Surveying and/or marine consultancy experience
- Strong offshore operational background (e.g. heavy lift vessels, construction vessels, DP vessels, jack-ups, semi-subs)
- Experience with loadouts, transportation, sailaway and offshore installation
- Vessel suitability surveys and marine assurance experience
- Ability to work independently and represent Global Maritime professionally on site
- Strong technical judgement and report writing skills
- Relevant offshore certification where applicable, including:
- BOSIET / FOET
- OGUK medical
- GWO BST (for renewable projects)
