The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years’ administrative experience, ideally within a procurement or project-based environment, with experience processing purchase requisitions accurately and efficiently. They should demonstrate strong attention to detail, confidence liaising with suppliers and internal teams, and the ability to resolve invoice queries with accounts. Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel is essential, along with strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Process Purchase Requisitions for Fleet and Project-related requirements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure requisitions are raised correctly, reflecting accurate pricing, quantities, delivery locations, timelines, and all agreed terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with the Accounts team to resolve invoice queries promptly and efficiently.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and the supply base to monitor, expedite, and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Provide general administrative support, including the preparation of reports and documentation as required.
- Undertake any other relevant tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the company to support operational needs.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- 1–2 years of administration experience, ideally within a procurement or project-based environment.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with external suppliers and internal teams.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) – Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths.
This role is based in the Washington, UK office and follows a hybrid working arrangement, with working 3 days in the office and the other 2 days working remotely.
