Global Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Platers and Structural Steel Fabricators to join a highly skilled fabrication team based in Coatbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong heavy steel and structural fabrication experience who are looking for long-term work, excellent pay rates, and regular overtime opportunities. This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with a salary review available after 13 weeks for successful candidates.
The Role
- Fabricating structural steel components from engineering drawings
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel platework
- Working closely with welders and production teams
- Operating fabrication machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
- Following all site health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and plating
- The ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Experience working on large or heavy steel projects
- Strong skills using fabrication tools and machinery
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Shifts & Pay Rates
- Dayshift £24.25 per hour
- £29.25 per hour overtime after 40 hours
- Nightshift £29.50 per hour
- £32.50 per hour overtime after 40 hours
Additional Information:
- Monday to Friday working patterns
- Regular overtime and weekend work available
- CIS / Umbrella payment options
- PAYE available after 13 weeks
